Muse Games Announces Partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Advance of Wildmender Game Launch

The International Rescue Committee (IRC), a global non-profit organization that helps people affected by humanitarian crises - including the climate crisis, and Muse Games, the developer of upcoming PC and Console title ‘Wildmender’, are pleased to announce a strategic collaboration seeking to leverage the power of gaming for a greater cause.

As part of this partnership, Muse Games will release a unique Downloadable Content (DLC) item - an IRC branded hat - upon the launch of Wildmender. For one year starting on September 28, 2023, 100% of the purchase price of this item (less taxes and fees)* will be donated by Muse Games to the IRC in support of its mission to help restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster.

"We are thrilled to partner with the International Rescue Committee to bring the spirit of survival and resilience from our game to real-world humanitarian efforts," said Howard Tsao Team Lead at Muse Games. “Through this alliance, Wildmender’s players have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those in need.”

Wildmender is a desert gardening survival game about bringing a deserted world back to life. Starting from a tiny spring, players cultivate a blooming garden in the desert. Alone or with up to three friends, they'll explore a vast world amid the sand, uncover its mysteries, and defend it from the vicious wraiths who seek to corrupt it.

Wildmender will be published by Kwalee and is set to release on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on September 28th, 2023.

Kwalee is proud to join Muse Games and the IRC in raising awareness about the importance of humanitarian aid and the challenges faced by millions of people around the globe.

“The IRC is thankful to be strengthening its presence amongst gamers alongside our partners Muse Games and Kwalee," shared Jennifer Kendra, Head of Global Corporate Partnerships at the IRC. "Addressing the impacts of the climate crisis is a core part of the IRC’s humanitarian commitment, and we’re proud to work with partners who share that commitment and raise awareness in innovative ways.”

*less applicable local taxes and 30% processing fee per transaction from September 28, 2023, to September 27, 2024 The IRC does not endorse any brand, company or service. No portion of the purchase price is tax–deductible.
